Praising GOD for answering Prayers

Prayers were Answered.

by Heather Hiatt Hendriksen on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 8:29am
is thankful for your prayers. We were able to be loved and love the orphan and it was an incredible experience... although difficult to see the great need. The Lord provided a way to bring Bibles to orphans. PRAISING GOD!!! This is truly the mission and the greatest gift to share. I think of how it saved my brothers life and my life... He is now in Heaven because someone once gave us the word OF LIFE...
Just think now that we can pray that even if one of these takes hold of the gospel and begins to pray and believes in the name of JESUS, HE can and will begin to move among them.  May we pray together interceding on behalf of the orphan?  It is so difficult to bring Bibles to orphans but GOD has opened a way, there are many of you that has joined in this mission... Thank you for helping the orphan!!! May the LORD bless you!

We leave tomorrow to return to Denis... I can hardly wait!!!

What happened....
Early morning I woke up with fever, heart was racing, with no strength and drive heaves. There were no doctors in area. Sarah was amazing to even laying down on the bathroom floor with me. Trying to speak to a Russian lady who was screaming at her once she had seen me laying on the floor; my thoughts were "do you think i chose to be on the bathroom floor?!?!" and Sarah explaining I don't speak Russian, the lady was there to clean toilets and mop... I told Sarah she is freaking me out go get our friend, Sarah left to get our friend and she calmed the lady down. We still really don't know what she was saying!!!
Our trip to Begesk began with Sarah and I being placed in a car where there was barely any room with our luggage on our laps for literally 5 1/2 hours. Then we get there and we left with a little breakfast, a little bag of chips, candy, and then not eating until midnight in a freezing small cold gymnasium. Sorry to Kelly Dutcher... I had no idea!  We were told all would be taken care of... but, we ended up not preparing because of the unknown.

They were trying to get us a Russian doctor from within Begesk... This didn't seem to be wise and felt the LORD calling us to get back to Moscow.  GOD allowed me to literally sleep through the trip home without waking except to stop at 2 restrooms. It was all worth it and we would do it again if called to it.
I didn't know if I was going to make it that morning at 4:30AM in the dark bathroom where we could not find the light switch. There I was laying in the middle of Russia, no family, no help, at an orphanage with kids who feel so helpless and there I lay, asking GOD, WHY? I still don't understand but I trust in HIM.  Then Bob was contacted and prayers began and were answered. PRAISE GOD.I felt my heart rate slowing down.  I was hot, sweating, to freezing... I could barely move.  I praise GOD for Sarah being there.  I have slept since leaving Begesk and this has been the first that I have really been awake for a long period.  Thus, my strength is returning.  It is good to be back in Moscow but truly missing the children GOD placed in our lives. Sarah and I giggle looking back at being squeezed on this little mattress on a gymnasium floor... we giggled for 5 minutes before we could even begin to fall asleep... I told Sarah to let me know when she needed to turn so I could turn with her so we both would have room on the mattress and blankets! lol THE LORD has a way of bringing joy to your heart in such a dark world. GOD has been good to us. We will share some pictures. My camcorder was left in Begesk so I will post video later.

Thank you LORD for saving our souls and giving us HOPE that one day we will stand before you!
Thankful for your prayers!

JESUS LOVE to all of you!
Heather and Sarah
